The Snake Catcher pub is located in the picturesque village of Brokenhurst, surrounded by the New Forest. There is plenty of history and character surrounding the pub which is named after the snakecatcher Harry Mills, better known as Brusher Mills. Brusher Mills roamed the New Forest in Victorian times catching snakes for payment and was a regular at the pub which was then called the Railway Tavern.

The service is good and food is delivered quickly even during busy times. The kitchen is run by Martin Matysik who is the chef / proprietor of Brockenhurst's Thatched Cottage.

Food is always of a very high standard, using seasonal and local produce. There are two menus to choose from, both the pub menu and the daily menu which offer an excellent quality, choice and value. (daily menu: 2 course £12.95 & 3 course £15.00)

Atmosphere is good, the history and background of the pub makes it an interesting visit. Be sure to read the information on Brusher Mills and the history of the pub, hung on the walls down in the lounge bar.
